It has everything we were looking for! Including my all-important window over the kitchen sink. The guest bedroom is on the ground floor, and so is a full bathroom, so the moms don't have to go up and down stairs when they visit. There is a dining room to keep all Grandma Evans' nice furniture in so she won't worry about it being in storage anymore, but for every-day use there's the nice little round dining nook with windows all around, so you can see out to the back yard to all the bird feeders and maybe even spot the deer when they come out of the woods to drink from the pond.
The upstairs is already finished as a rec area, with two small bedrooms on either end - Nicky likes his new room because it has its own door out onto the side deck. There's also a large room over the garage that we're going to convert to a guest suite with a kitchenette and its own half bath, etc., so that nocturnal half-grown kids can crash there when they need to, without keeping us awake all night.
The land of course is the main thing. The name of the neighborhood is "North Pastures" and it's all 4 - 10 acre lots - ours is four acres, and there is a stream and a small pond in back. Huge decks, one covered and one uncovered, look out over the back, and there's even a very nicely built small barn.
Here are some more pictures!
