What is "Accessible Design"?

In 1998, Congress amended the Americans With Disabilities Act to include regulations requiring that all organizations with Web sites ensure that their sites are accessible to users who must use assistive technology to access the Web due to blindness or visual impairment, motor impairment, and other disabilities. But, KrystalRose was designing Web sites with these needs in mind long before that!

The fact is,  Accessible Design need not be an onerous task. If you begin your Web design with a few simple principles in mind, your Web site will not only comply with the ADA regulations, but it will be easier and more attractive for everyone to use, not just persons with disabilities.

If your Web site is already in place and you are wondering if it complies with the ADA - or even if you just want your site to be Accessible because you are a good person whether the law requires it of you or not - then contact us for an evaluation.
